By accessing or using Lightyear (“the Service”), available at lightyearspace.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

User Content

You retain all ownership rights to photos and content you upload to Lightyear. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service — including AI analysis for mood detection, theme extraction, and description generation.

We do not claim ownership of your content. You can delete your content at any time.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or abusive content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data.
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or violate the rights of others.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated means to access the Service without our permission.

Service Availability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lightyear shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
